Cobb County Commissioners decided this week that until, at least, March of 2008 no new rezoning applications would be considered for a commercial stretch of Johnson Ferry Road in East Cobb.
The three mile stretch in question is between Paper Mill Road and Roswell Road.
Rob Hosack, who heads the office, said his planning and zoning experts want time to develop design guidelines for projects that might replace the office buildings and strip shopping centers.

There is a new infill community being built right next to Pope High School on Hembree Road. It’s called Ansley Creek and will consist of 20 luxury manor homes. The builder plans to combine old world designs influenced by French Country, English Manor and Traditional Southern architecture. The developer is going to create outdoor living spaces, nature trails and leave a good bit of the development as green space.
The homes will feature three car garages, custom kitchens and incredible master suites. The pricing will start in the $800,000’s. I’m currently helping two clients purchase lots and build homes in a new infill development on Sewell Mill Road called The Enclave at Adams Oaks. There are going to be 33, four sided brick, home sites all with 3 car, side entry, garages and full daylight basements.
