Marietta Receives All American City Award
June 21st, 2006 . by Knox BardeenThe National Civic League announced that Marietta has won the coveted All American City Award, the nation’s longest running and most prestigious civic recognition program. Three reasons the city of Marietta cited when making their application for this award were a great crime rate reduction, a significant investment in redevelopment and the Marietta Reads program, a reading and literacy program.
This award will significantly help the city of Marietta in many ways such as attracting business, generating jobs, and increased tourism.
